Impact of the change

The change process does not affect your running cloud resources. Use the information in this topic to plan the handover.

Scope of impact	Description
Account ownership	After the change, ownership of the account and all its cloud resources, orders, and assets automatically transfers to the new verified person.
Business continuity	Your running services, such as Elastic Compute Service (ECS) and ApsaraDB RDS, are not affected.
Invoice information	Existing invoices are not affected. After the change, see Issue an invoice to manually change the invoice title.
Domain names and ICP filings	Domain name and ICP filing information do not change automatically. They remain with the original verified person. Manually change the domain name and ICP filing as needed.

To ensure a smooth process, confirm the following before you begin:

Change period: At least 30 days must have passed since the last successful change.
Environment: Perform this operation on a computer. The Alibaba Cloud app does not support this feature.
Original verified person: The original verified person (the current account owner) must be available to perform identity verification.
New verified person: The new verified person (the person who will take over the account) must be present and have a verified personal Alipay account.
Reseller relationship: If your account is linked to a reseller partner, contact them to confirm the impact of this change.

Log on to the Identity Verification page in the Alibaba Cloud console. Then, click Change Verified Person.
On the Change Verified Person page, read and agree to the change agreement. Then, click Initiate Change and complete the Original Verified Person Information Verification.
After the Original Verified Person Information Verification is complete, click Start Now to begin the New Verified Person Identity Verification. Then, read and agree to the change agreement and click Start Stage Two.
Select Personal Alipay Verification. After the new person completes the Personal Alipay Verification, the change is complete.

The system displays a success status for Alipay Authorization to Obtain Information along with the desensitized identity information of the verified person (name, document type, document number), and displays a Congratulations, verification is complete message. The dialog box closes automatically.

After you change the verified person for the account, immediately complete the following actions to ensure account security and information accuracy:

Update logon credentials: For security reasons, change the account's logon password, and update the linked mobile phone number, email address, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) settings. This completes the handover of account access to the new verified person.
Check RAM users: Log on to the Resource Access Management (RAM) console. Review the RAM users and remove any that are no longer required. You can also create new RAM users for future management.
