Alipay verification for legal representative
To complete Alipay verification, the legal representative of an enterprise or the operator of a sole proprietorship must use their personal Alipay account.
Prerequisites

The identity information linked to the Alipay account must match the identity information of the legal representative or operator.
NoteMake sure you use the correct Alipay account, or contact Alipay customer service to update the identity information linked to your account.

Verification steps

Go to the verification page and select an option based on your situation.
You are the legal representative
Log on to the Identity Verification page in the Alibaba Cloud Account Center. In the Enterprise Verification section, click Alipay Verification for Legal Representative.
You are an individual business owner

Log in to the Identity Verification page in the Alibaba Cloud Account Center. In the Enterprise Verification section, click All Verification Methods.

Set Enterprise Type to Sole Proprietorship and click Alipay Verification for Operator.

Select the checkbox to agree to Alipay Authorization to Obtain Enterprise Information, and then click Log on to Alipay. A QR code for logon is displayed. Scan the QR code to log on.

After you log on to Alipay and grant the authorization, follow the on-screen instructions to upload a photo of your business license copy.

After you upload the business license, enter the business operation period and click Next.
In the Business Operation Period To field, select a specific date, or select the Long-term check box.

After your submission is approved, the enterprise verification is complete. You can view the verification result on the Enterprise Real-name Information page in the Account Center.
The verification result includes information such as Verification Type, Verification Completion Time, Verification Entity, and Unified Social Credit Code (partially masked).
FAQ
What if the enterprise name during verification does not match the registered name?
The enterprise name must exactly match the information on the business license. Otherwise, the identity verification will fail. If you see a message that the names do not match, the mismatch is usually caused by one of the following reasons:
The enterprise name was entered incorrectly

Check the enterprise name you entered. Make sure it exactly matches the full name on the business license, including punctuation, capitalization, and spaces.

Copy and paste the enterprise name directly from the business license to avoid manual entry errors.
The enterprise name has changed but has not been synchronized

First, check your enterprise information in the National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System. If the information is outdated, wait for the system to update before you proceed with the verification. Alibaba Cloud takes up to 7 business days to synchronize information from the Administration for Market Regulation. If the information in the publicity system is current, contact Customer Service for assistance.
The enterprise type or entity information does not match

Confirm that the enterprise type you selected (such as general enterprise or sole proprietorship) matches the information on your business license.

For a sole proprietorship, enter the name from the "Name" field on the business license.
