Reset a forgotten password
Reset your Alibaba Cloud account password online by verifying your identity.
Prerequisites
Use your account's username, mobile phone number, or email address to verify your identity. If you forgot your username, retrieve it first. How do I retrieve a forgotten username?.
Reset your password

On the Alibaba Cloud homepage, click Log On, and then click Forgot Password.

Enter your Alibaba Cloud account and click Next.

Select a verification method. If verification fails, click Submit Appeal to file a manual appeal. What do I do if I cannot pass identity verification?.

Mobile phone number verification
Account has a phone number that receives verification codes.

Alipay verification
Account identity verification is complete.
Use the personal Alipay account that matches your account's identity verification.
Use the enterprise Alipay account that matches your account's identity verification.
Facial recognition verification
Account identity verification is complete.
The owner of the individual account must complete facial recognition.
The enterprise legal representative must complete facial recognition.
Administrator verification
The account belongs to an enterprise organization.
Not supported
Select an administrator account to initiate verification approval.

After verification, the Reset logon password page appears. Set a new password that meets these requirements:

8 to 128 characters in length

Contains only uppercase letters, lowercase letters, digits, and punctuation marks (no spaces)

Must contain at least two of: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, digits, and punctuation marks

Log on with your new password. Update it regularly.
