Change your mobile phone number
Your mobile phone number is used for SMS-based logon, secondary identity verification, password recovery, and critical security notifications. You can update it from your account security settings.
Users logged in as a RAM user, with a RAM role, or through Enterprise SSO cannot change the account mobile phone number. Ask the account administrator to make this change.
When to change your mobile phone number
Change your mobile phone number promptly in these scenarios:

Your original phone number is lost, suspended, or reassigned.

Account ownership is being transferred.

Your security policy requires periodic phone number rotation.
Prerequisites
Log on to your Alibaba Cloud account. The verification method depends on whether your original phone number is still accessible:

Accessible: Enter the SMS code sent to your current number.

Not accessible: Use an alternative verification method, such as Alipay verification or facial recognition.

Procedure

Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Account Center. On the Overview page, in the My Account section, click the
icon next to Security phone number.
Alternatively, go to the Account Security page, find Security mobile number in the Basic Settings section, and click Modify.

On the Verify Identity page, select a verification method such as Phone Verification, Alipay Verification, or Facial Recognition Verification. If none of these work, see What do I do if I cannot complete identity verification? to file an appeal.

After verification, enter your new phone number on the Security mobile number page, complete the verification, and click OK.
NoteA phone number can be bound to up to six Alibaba Cloud accounts. If you reach this limit, use a different number or close unused accounts. Close your Alibaba Cloud account.
FAQ
Does my logon phone number change when I update my mobile phone number?
Yes. Your mobile phone number is also used for logon and password recovery. After the change, use your new number to log on and receive verification codes.
