Process overview of enterprise identity verification
The verification process consists of submitting your information for automated system review or manual review. Manual review typically takes 3 business days. Deposit verification may take longer due to bank processing times. You receive the verification result by email or text message.

Alibaba Cloud supports the following four enterprise identity verification methods. The main differences are whether the legal representative needs to take action, whether a business license photo is required, and the processing time.

Facial recognition verification
What you need:
Legal representative's personal Alipay account.
Enterprise name or Unified Social Credit Code. You do not need to upload a business license photo.
Processing time: Automated verification—usually completed in a few minutes.
Key information:
Action required: The legal representative must complete facial recognition scan using Alipay.
Newly registered companies are not affected by data synchronization delays.
Deposit verification
What you need:
Corporate bank account information.
Business license photo. For examples, see Examples of certificates with a Unified Social Credit Code.
Operator's personal Alipay account (for identity confirmation).
Processing time: Manual review. Due to differences in bank processing times, it typically takes 1 to 7 business days.
Key information:
No legal representative action needed: Any employee (the operator) can complete this verification.
Deposit process: Alibaba Cloud sends a small deposit to your corporate bank account to verify authenticity.
Legal representative Alipay verification
What you need:
Legal representative's or sole proprietor's personal Alipay account.
Business license photo. For examples, see Examples of certificates with a Unified Social Credit Code.
Processing time: Manual review—typically 1 to 3 business days.
Key information:
Action required: The legal representative or proprietor must authorize verification using their Alipay account.
You must upload a business license photo.
Organization Alipay verification
What you need:
Organization's or sole proprietorship's corporate Alipay account.
Business license photo. For examples, see Examples of certificates with a Unified Social Credit Code.
Processing time: Manual review—typically 1 to 3 business days.
Key information:
You must use the organization's corporate Alipay account to authorize verification.
You must upload a business license photo.
In short, you can choose as follows:
Legal representative available, and you need fast verification / newly registered company / no business license: Use Facial recognition verification.
Legal representative unavailable, have a corporate Alipay account: Use Organization Alipay verification.

The Alipay account used for verification is not bound to the Alibaba Cloud account. The Alipay account used for login or payment is unrelated to the one used for identity verification.
Sole proprietorships are handled differently from other organizations and may not be eligible for certain enterprise products or activities.
