[Product announcement] Cancellation of subscription billing method for CLB instances used in the API server of new clusters
Effective November 25, 2024, Container Service for Kubernetes (ACK) gradually ceases support for the subscription billing method for Classic Load Balancer (CLB) instances used in the API server for new clusters. This option is completely discontinued as of December 1, 2024.
Impact scope
This change applies to ACK managed clusters, ACK dedicated clusters, ACK edge clusters, and ACK Lingjun clusters.
Change details
After the complete end of support on December 1, 2024, new clusters created in ACK no longer offer the subscription billing method for CLB instances used in API server.
Existing CLB instances billed on a subscription basis are not affected. However, we recommend that you change the billing method of the instances to pay-as-you-go. For more information, see the referenced document.
Billing method fields for CLB instances used in API server are scheduled to be removed from the cluster creation interface CreateCluster accordingly. The following table describes the parameters scheduled for deprecation:
Field name | Description |
charge_type | Billing method |
period | Subscription duration |
period_unit | Billing cycle |
auto_renew | Auto-renewal status |
auto_renew_period | Auto-renewal period |
