Container Registry Personal Edition is designed for individual developers. It provides basic container image lifecycle management and is suitable for learning and early-stage containerization.

Usage notes

  • Starting September 9, 2024, each Alibaba Cloud account (including the primary account and RAM users) is limited to one Container Registry Personal Edition instance. If your account already has one or more Personal Edition instances, you cannot create a new one. For more information, see Limits on new Personal Edition instances.

For supported regions and availability zones, see the console.
  • Personal Edition instances are available only to individual users. Before you create a Personal Edition instance, complete real-name verification. Your account must be a personal type.

  • You cannot use a Resource Directory account to create a Personal Edition instance.

  • When a RAM user logs in to a repository, enterprise aliases cannot contain a period (.).

Note

To view repositories in the Container Registry console, a RAM user must first create a Personal Edition instance.

Important
  • The Personal Edition is for development and testing only. Do not use it in production environments.

  • The Personal Edition is for individual developers and is free during the public preview, with usage quotas. It includes no SLA guarantee or compensation for SLA violations and is subject to usage limits.

  • The Personal Edition does not provide public APIs.

  • After creating a Personal Edition instance with your primary account, grant the AliyunContainerRegistryFullAccess or AliyunContainerRegistryReadOnlyAccess policy to a RAM user.
