Storage management

Updated at:

An Enterprise Edition instance hosts your cloud-native application artifacts, such as container images and Helm Charts, in an OSS bucket. The Storage Management feature integrates some OSS capabilities, which lets you view and monitor basic information about the bucket, including its status, storage usage, and bucket policy. This helps you track your storage resource consumption. Note that this feature does not allow you to directly manage the OSS bucket.

Prerequisites

You have created a Container Registry Enterprise Edition instance and the instance is in the Running state. For more information, see Create an Enterprise Edition instance.

Procedure

Follow these steps to view storage management details.

  1. Log on to the Container Registry console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, select a region.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances.

  4. On the Instances page, click the Enterprise Edition instance that you want to manage.

  5. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Instances > Storage Management.

    Description

    Basic Information

Click Show More to view more information about the associated OSS bucket.

    Important

To ensure your instance runs correctly, do not modify storage configurations other than transfer acceleration and storage redundancy type. Specifically, avoid changing settings like hotlink protection or server-side encryption, and do not enable bucket retention policies or related settings.

    • OSS Status: Shows the operational status of the OSS bucket. This helps you confirm that the service is running correctly and detect issues early.

    • Bucket Policy: Displays the permission policies for the bucket, which helps you ensure secure data access. You can click View Authorization Policy to go to the configuration page. For more information, see Bucket Policy.

    • Total Usage: Shows the storage usage of the OSS bucket. You can use this information to monitor your storage resources.

    • Storage Redundancy Type: Shows the current storage redundancy type. You can change this setting to a suitable redundancy plan to improve storage reliability.

    • Transfer Acceleration: Improves data transfer efficiency. Enabling this feature can increase the success rate of cross-region image synchronization. You can click Enable to go to the configuration page. For more information, see Use transfer acceleration to access OSS.

    Monitoring Information

Event Monitoring: Displays events that occurred within a specified time period. This information helps you diagnose and troubleshoot issues such as slow downloads.

    Lifecycle

Lifecycle: Records storage lifecycle events when you perform artifact cleanup. Based on your configured lifecycle policy, the storage usage is updated after a specified period to optimize resource management.

    Note

After an artifact cleanup task is complete, the storage usage of the OSS bucket does not decrease immediately. The change takes effect after the number of days specified in the bucket's lifecycle policy.

    Traffic

Displays public, VPC, and CDN traffic, in addition to cross-region replication traffic, over a specified time period. This helps you identify throttling issues and optimize network usage.
