If charges are introduced for specific features, affected customers will be notified one month in advance.

When you use ActionTrail to create a trail and deliver events to Log Service, OSS, or MaxCompute, you are charged separately based on the pricing of those services.

After events, including management events and data events, are delivered to Simple Log Service (SLS), the charges mainly consist of the following billable items:

• Storage fee: charged based on the storage space that the delivered events occupy in the Logstore.

• Write traffic fee: the read and write traffic fee incurred as events are continuously written to the Logstore.

• Internet read traffic fee: incurred only when you access or download log data from the Logstore over the Internet. This fee is not incurred when you read the data over an internal network.

When you quickly create a trail, all events are delivered to Log Service by default. The estimated costs displayed in the ActionTrail console are calculated based on your event usage over the last 30 days. Your actual costs are subject to your bill.

Alibaba Cloud accounts that have completed real-name verification and are in good standing can use ActionTrail.

Residual charges after deleting a trail

When you create a trail to deliver data events to Log Service, ActionTrail automatically creates a Logstore in each destination region to store these events. This Logstore is not deleted when you delete the trail, and you will continue to incur storage charges for the historical data events it contains.

If you no longer need these historical data events, you must manually delete the corresponding Logstore in Log Service to stop incurring storage charges. To do this, perform the following steps:

1. Log in to the Log Service console and find the Project that ActionTrail automatically created. The Project name typically starts with actiontrail.

2. In that Project, find and delete the Logstore used for storing data events.

Warning

Once a Logstore is deleted, all the data it contains is permanently lost. Before you proceed, make sure you no longer need the data.
