Create an instance

Prerequisites

Before you create an intra-city multi-active instance, ensure that you have enabled the required modules, created a business LDC, imported ECS and SLB resources, and created and configured an ingress cluster.

Procedure

A multi-active instance corresponds to an MSHA namespace and functions as a logical tenant. It provides logical isolation for MSHA control configurations and data. Follow these steps to create a multi-active instance.

1. Log on to the Multi-active Disaster Recovery MSHA console.

2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Multi-active instance to go to the Multi-active instance list page.

3. In the upper-left corner of the page, click Create multi-active instance. On the Create multi-active instance page, configure the following parameters.

   1. Enter a Multi-active instance name, such as a production environment for transaction unitization or a test environment for shopping guide unitization.

   2. From the Business LDC drop-down list, select a business type for the namespace. After you make a selection, the business type identifier for the current business LDC appears on the right.

      Note

      To create a business type, click Create business LDC. This action takes you to the Business LDC page, where you can create a business LDC. For details, see Business LDC.

   3. After you select a Business LDC, the multi-active architecture type field is enabled. Set multi-active architecture type to Intra-city multi-active.

   4. After you select a multi-active architecture type, the multi-active components field is enabled. Select the multi-active components that you want to enable. You can select multiple components.

4. Click Next to go to the control command channel configuration page. You must configure this channel to push MSHA rules. The available options are Nacos (VPC or classic network) and ACM (for non-public cloud environments only).

   Note

   The region of Nacos or ACM must match the region of the unit.

   • If you select Nacos as the control command channel, configure the following parameters:

     Parameter	Description
     Nacos address	You can specify the Nacos address in one of the following ways: Option 1: Enter the private IP of the Nacos server. The address must include the port number, for example, 192.168.xx.xx:9848. Option 2: Enter the instance ID of an MSE instance that uses Nacos as its engine type, for example, mse-cn-7mzxxxxxx.
     Nacos namespace ID	Enter the ID of the namespace within the specified Nacos instance for pushing MSHA rules.
     VPC ID	Enter the ID of the VPC where the Nacos instance is located.

   • If you select ACM as the control command channel, enter the ACM namespace ID.

5. After you configure the control command channel, click Next to go to the ingress cluster configuration page, and then configure the ingress cluster and associate the multi-active instance with it.

   • To create an MSFE cluster, click Add cluster. For detailed instructions, see Manage MSFE ingress clusters.

   • To create a cloud-native gateway cluster, click Add cluster. For detailed instructions, see Manage cloud-native gateway ingress clusters.

   Note

   You only need to configure the Ingress cluster if you selected the Ingress component in the multi-active components step. Otherwise, the setup wizard skips this page.

6. Click Submit.
