Manage MSFE access layer clusters

Prerequisites

1. You have created an ECS instance, opened port 8090 in its security group, and registered the instance with the Multi-Site High Availability (MSHA) platform. For more information, see:

2. You have created a CLB instance and registered it with the MSHA platform. For more information, see:

   • Create and manage CLB instances

   • Manage CLB networks

Create an MSFE cluster

1. Log on to Multi-active Disaster Recovery (MSHA) console.

2. In the left navigation bar, select Resource Management > Access Layer Cluster.

   The MSFE Cluster page lists all units.

3. Click the target unit tab, and then click Create Cluster in the upper-right corner of the page to create a cluster in the corresponding unit.

4. In the Create Cluster panel, configure the following parameters and click OK.

   1. Select Protocol.

   2. For Network Type, select Classic Network or VPC Network.

   3. Set Cluster Name.

   4. Select Version.

   5. Select a server.

5. Optional: Click View to the right of Cluster Change Task to pause, skip, or close this creation task.

   After creation, the cluster appears on its unit tab. The status of the Cluster Change Task changes to Finished.

Add CLB

1. Click the target unit tab, and then click Add CLB in the Access Layer CLB area on the MSFE cluster page.

2. Select one or more CLB instances to add and click OK.

3. Optional: On the MSFE Cluster page, in the Access Layer CLB area, click View in the Latest Task column to pause, skip, or cancel this creation task.

   After the CLB instance is added, it appears in the Access Layer CLB list. If you no longer need the CLB instance, you can click Delete in the Actions column.

Add server

1. Click the target unit tab. On the MSFE cluster page, in the Access Layer Server area, click Add Server.

2. Select one or more servers to add and click Confirm.

3. Optional: On the MSFE Cluster page, in the Access Layer Servers area, click View in the Latest Task column to pause, skip, or close the creation task.

   After a server is added, it appears in the Access Layer Server list with a status of Finished. If you no longer need the server, click Delete in the Actions column.

4. Optional:On the MSFE Cluster page, in the Access Layer Server area, click the icon in the Monitoring column to view the QPS time series chart for the instance over a custom time period.

Change access layer version

You can change the version of access layer servers by performing a version change for all servers at once or a canary release for a subset of them. The following sections describe these two methods.
