Use cases
Troubleshoot high IO latency to determine whether the bottleneck is in the operating system (OS) or a backend service.
Identify the specific process causing abnormal IO traffic.
Investigate the root cause and problematic IO path of a spike in the IO wait metric.
Prerequisites
If you are a RAM user, ensure your main account has granted the system policies
AliyunECSReadOnlyAccessandAliyunSysomFullAccessto the RAM user. The OS Workbench service is enabled.
The first time you log on to the OS Workbench, click Enable Service.
Procedure
Go to the OS Workbench.
In the left-side navigation pane, click System Diagnosis.
In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region of your target instance.

From the Diagnosis Type list, select Storage Diagnosis. Then, in the Diagnosis Item section, select One-click IO Diagnosis. Configure the parameters and click Run Diagnosis.
NoteIf SysOM is not installed on the target ECS instance, clicking Run Diagnosis automatically installs it and then starts the diagnosis.
The following table describes the parameters.
