This topic describes the event types supported by the AnalyticDB for PostgreSQL Event Center and their potential business impact.

Event type	Impact type	Impact description
Minor engine version update	Transient instance disconnection	After the scheduled switchover time , the following impacts occur: The instance or the shards involved in the switchover will experience transient disconnections and will be in a read-only state for up to 30 seconds. This allows data to fully synchronize. Perform this operation during off-peak hours and ensure your application has a reconnection mechanism. The use of the instance in DMS and DTS is briefly affected. Normal operations resume automatically after the operation is complete.
