Purchase and manage Anycast EIPs

Purchase an Anycast EIP

1. Log on to the Anycast EIP console.

2. On the Anycast Elastic IP Addresses page, click Purchase Anycast EIP.

3. If this is your first time purchasing an Anycast EIP, activate Cloud Data Transfer (CDT) first. CDT manages Anycast EIP billing.

   1. Read and select the Terms of Service, and then click Activate Now.

   2. In the dialog box that appears, click Continue to Purchase.

   Note

   If you used Anycast EIPs before 00:00:00 (UTC+8) on June 1, 2023 without activating CDT, the pay-by-data-transfer metering method applies by default. Billing.

   To activate CDT, go to the CDT page. CDT traffic types: Internet traffic and Inter-region traffic.

4. On the purchase page, configure the parameters and click Activate Now.

   Parameter	Description
   Region	Select a region. Default: Areas Outside Chinese Mainland.
   Instance type	Select an instance type. Default: Standard.
   Billing method	Select a billing method. Default: pay-by-data-transfer. Billing.
   Maximum bandwidth	Specify the maximum bandwidth. Note Maximum bandwidth is a cap, not a guarantee. Throttling may occur during resource contention.
   Resource Group	Select the resource group for the Anycast EIP. The resource group must be created in Resource Management by the current Alibaba Cloud account. Create a resource group.
   Name	Enter a name for the Anycast EIP.
   Quantity	Specify the number of Anycast EIPs to purchase.

After purchase, view your Anycast EIP instances on the Anycast Elastic IP Addresses page.

Modify the configuration of an Anycast EIP

Adjust the bandwidth of an Anycast EIP. Changes take effect immediately.

1. Log on to the Anycast EIP console.

2. On the Anycast Elastic IP Addresses page, find the target instance, and in the Actions column, choose > Modify Configuration.

3. On the Anycast EIP | Upgrade/Downgrade page, adjust the Maximum Bandwidth and select the Terms of Service checkbox.

4. Click Create Now.

Release an Anycast EIP

Release an Anycast EIP when it is no longer needed. Billing stops after release.

Before release, disassociate the Anycast EIP from all cloud resources. Disassociate an Anycast EIP.

1. Log on to the Anycast EIP console.

2. On the Anycast Elastic IP Addresses page, select one or more instances to release, and then click Release below the instance list.

3. Verify the information in the confirmation dialog box and click Yes.
