Manage alert rules

After you create an alert rule, you can modify, disable, enable, and delete it. You can also view the alert history to address issues with affected resources promptly.

Modify alert rule

If an existing alert rule does not meet your requirements for monitoring the metrics of a specific cloud service, you can modify it.

  1. Log on to the Cloud-native API Gateway console.

    Note

    When you access the Cloud-native API Gateway console for the first time, the system prompts you to authorize the creation of a service-linked role.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Alert. In the top navigation bar, select a region.

  3. On the Alert page, find the alert rule that you want to modify and click Modify in the Actions column.

  4. In the Modify Alert Rule panel, configure the parameters for the alert rule.

    For more information about how to configure the parameters, see Rule Description.

  5. Click OK.

Disable alert rule

By default, the status of a new alert rule is Normal. When you perform planned maintenance or upgrades on a cloud service, you can disable the corresponding alert rule to prevent unnecessary alert notifications during these activities.

  1. Log on to the Cloud-native API Gateway console.

    Note

    When you access the Cloud-native API Gateway console for the first time, the system prompts you to authorize the creation of a service-linked role.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Alert. In the top navigation bar, select a region.

  3. Disable alert rules.

    • Disable a single alert rule

      1. Find the alert rule that you want to disable, click the 更多 icon in the Actions column, and then click Disable.

      2. In the Disable Alert Rule dialog box, click OK.

    • Disable multiple alert rules

      1. Select the checkbox next to each alert rule that you want to disable, and then click Disable in the lower-left corner.

      2. In the Disable Alert Rule dialog box, click OK.

Enable alert rule

After you complete maintenance or upgrades on a cloud service, you can re-enable the associated alert rule. Alert notifications will resume automatically.

  1. Log on to the Cloud-native API Gateway console.

    When you access the Cloud-native API Gateway console for the first time, the system prompts you to authorize the creation of a service-linked role.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Alert. In the top navigation bar, select a region.

  3. Enable alert rules.

    • Enable a single alert rule

      1. Find the alert rule that you want to enable, click the 更多 icon in the Actions column, and then click Enable.

      2. In the Enable Alert Rule dialog box, click OK.

    • Enable multiple alert rules

      1. Select the checkbox next to each alert rule that you want to enable, and then click Enable in the lower-left corner.

      2. In the Enable Alert Rule dialog box, click OK.

Delete alert rule

After you delete an alert rule, you will no longer receive alert notifications from it.

  1. Log on to the Cloud-native API Gateway console.

    When you access the Cloud-native API Gateway console for the first time, the system prompts you to authorize the creation of a service-linked role.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Alert. In the top navigation bar, select a region.

  3. Delete alert rules.

    • Delete a single alert rule

      1. Find the alert rule that you want to delete, click the 更多 icon in the Actions column, and then click Delete.

      2. In the Delete Alert dialog box, click OK.

    • Delete multiple alert rules

      1. Select the checkbox next to each alert rule that you want to delete, and then click Delete in the lower-left corner.

      2. In the Delete Alert dialog box, click OK.

View alert history

You can view the alert history and details of the affected resources for a specific alert rule. This helps you locate and address issues promptly.

  1. Log on to the Cloud-native API Gateway console.

    When you access the Cloud-native API Gateway console for the first time, the system prompts you to authorize the creation of a service-linked role.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Alert. In the top navigation bar, select a region.

  3. On the Alert page, find the target alert rule and click Alert History in the Actions column.

    You can view the alert rule's Description, Alert Contact Group, Alert History, and affected Alert entity.

Clone alert rule

You can clone an existing alert rule and modify it for new requirements.

  1. Log on to the Cloud-native API Gateway console.

    When you access the Cloud-native API Gateway console for the first time, the system prompts you to authorize the creation of a service-linked role.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Alert. In the top navigation bar, select a region.

  3. On the Alert page, find the target alert rule and click Clone Rule in the Actions column.

  4. Modify the rule content and click OK.
