AUI Kits provides a one-stop solution for interactive class scenarios that is based on ApsaraVideo Live and the interactive whiteboard component. This solution helps you quickly build a platform for online classes.
Scenario description
Online education live streaming supports a wide range of learning scenarios and provides learners with a flexible, interactive, and real-time learning experience. The AUI Kits low-code application solution provides an online interactive classroom that supports features such as live teaching, chat, co-streaming, and live recording playback. The solution provides open source code for custom development. You can build on the demo source code to save development time and costs, meeting the needs of various education scenarios. Teachers and students can teach and learn anytime and anywhere using text, voice, video, whiteboards, and screen sharing.
Classroom Mode
The interactive class solution of AUI Kits support the following class types. You can also design your own class type as needed.
Open class
In an open class, one teacher teaches while students watch online. The teacher's client ingests a live audio and video stream, and the students' clients pull the stream for playback. The teacher can stream live audio, video, whiteboard content, and screen sharing. Teachers and students can interact through chat.
Large Class
A big class is similar to an open class, where one teacher teaches and students watch online. However, a big class also includes a co-streaming feature. Students can request to co-stream with the teacher or accept a co-streaming invitation from the teacher.
Classroom roles
Teacher
A classroom can have only one teacher. The teacher has permissions to start and end the class, mute students, publish announcements, start check-ins, upload courseware, and edit the whiteboard.
Teaching assistant
A classroom can have only one teaching assistant. The teacher grants permissions to the assistant, such as editing announcements, managing check-ins, and muting students.
Student
A classroom supports multiple students. Students can interact by sending messages, view courseware, and watch the live class. In a big class, students can also request to co-stream with the teacher.
Environment requirements
This project supports a teacher client and a student client. Teachers can join the classroom only from a PC. Students can join the classroom from a PC or a mobile device.

Teacher creates a classroom
For the role, select Teacher.
Select a class type. For more information, see Class types.
Classroom ID
If this field is left empty, a new classroom is created and a classroom ID is automatically generated.
You can also join a legacy classroom using its ID.
If you enable the teaching assistant feature, click Assistant Permissions to manage the assistant's permissions.
Enter a username and click Enter Classroom to open the main classroom interface.
Teacher starts the classroom live stream
After you enable the camera and microphone, click Start Class to begin the live stream.
Teaching assistant enters a specific classroom
The teaching assistant enters the classroom ID and a username to join a classroom where the assistant feature is enabled.
In the classroom, the teaching assistant has the permissions granted by the teacher.
Student logs on to a specific classroom
Students can join the classroom by entering the classroom ID and a username.

Demo experience
Visit the interactive class to try the demo online. You can select a role to join a classroom. After a teacher joins and starts the class, a classroom ID is generated. Students can use this ID to join the interactive classroom.
