The OOS automation page in the Alibaba Cloud ApsaraDB console displays information about automated database O&M tasks, such as task templates and executions, for the RDS, PolarDB, MongoDB, Tair (including Redis), and AnalyticDB instances in your Alibaba Cloud account. On this page, you can view common task templates and use them to create and manage automated tasks to improve the efficiency of database O&M.

Common task templates

View template information

Go to the Common Task Templates page.
1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud ApsaraDB console.
2. In the top navigation bar, click Stability O&M.
3. In the upper-right corner of the page, click OOS Automation.
4. In the navigation pane on the left, click Common Task Templates.
Find the template that you want to view.
Note
- You can use the Template Categorization filter and the search box to quickly find the desired template.
- For more information about template categorization, see Supported common task templates.
Click the card of the template.
View the information about the template.

Create a task

Go to the Common Task Templates page.
1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud ApsaraDB console.
2. In the top navigation bar, click Stability O&M.
3. In the upper-right corner of the page, click OOS Automation.
4. In the navigation pane on the left, click Common Task Templates.
Find the template that you want to view.
Note
- You can use the Template Categorization filter and the search box to quickly find the desired template.
- For more information about template categorization, see Supported common task templates.
On the card of the template, click Create Execution.
Configure basic information.
1. Set Execution Mode as needed.
  - Automatic Execution: The task is automatically executed after you confirm its creation.
  - Pause on Failure: If a child execution of a loop task fails, the parent execution is paused. You can then make adjustments and decide whether to continue.
2. Optional: Configure Resource Group for Execution, Tags for Execution, and Execution Description.
Click Next: Set Parameters.
Configure the parameters that are required by the template. For more information about the parameters, see Supported common task templates.
Click Next: Confirm.

Note
You can click Generate OpenAPI Request Example in the upper-right corner to view the parameter information that is required to create a task by calling an OpenAPI operation.
Click Create.

Task execution management

View task (execution) information

Go to the Task Execution Management page.
1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud ApsaraDB console.
2. In the top navigation bar, click Stability O&M.
3. In the upper-right corner of the page, click OOS Automation.
4. In the navigation pane on the left, click Task Execution Management.
Locate the target task.

Note
You can use filters such as Execution ID, Template Name, Parent Execution ID, Resource ID, Execution Status, and Execution Type to quickly find the task.
View the information about the task.

Manage a task (execution)

Go to the Task Execution Management page.
1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud ApsaraDB console.
2. In the top navigation bar, click Stability O&M.
3. In the upper-right corner of the page, click OOS Automation.
4. In the navigation pane on the left, click Task Execution Management.
Locate the target task.

Note
You can use filters such as Execution ID, Template Name, Parent Execution ID, Resource ID, Execution Status, and Execution Type to quickly find the task.
Manage the task.
- Manage tags
  In the Tag column of the task, hover over the icon and click the Edit button that appears to add or remove tags.
- View details
  In the Actions column of the task, click Details. For more information about other operations, see View execution details.
- Clone a task
  In the Actions column of the task, click Clone, and then complete the subsequent configurations.
  
  Note
  Alternatively, in the Actions column of the task, click Details. Then, in the upper-right corner, click Clone Execution and complete the subsequent configurations.
- View child executions
  In the Actions column of the task, click Child Executions.
- Delete a task
  Click > Delete. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.

  Alternatively, in the Actions column of the task, click Details. Then, in the upper-right corner, click Delete Execution. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.
