Subscription billing
ApsaraMQ for Confluent uses subscription billing, which is suitable for stable and long-term business scenarios. You pay upfront for computing and storage resources at a fixed monthly rate. Billing starts immediately after you place an order. If a subscription expires and is not renewed, the instance is stopped and eventually released.
Billable items
Each ApsaraMQ for Confluent instance is billed on two dimensions:

One CU provides 1 CPU core and 4 GB of memory. By default, each broker requires a minimum of 1,000 GB of storage.

Expiration and renewal

| Subscription expires | The instance is stopped immediately and is unavailable until renewed. |
| Not renewed within 168 hours (7 days) | The instance and all data are released permanently and cannot be restored. |
Renew your subscription before it expires to avoid service interruption and data loss.
