This topic describes the billing rules for the alert management system.
Billing information
The ARMS alert management system bills you for notifications sent by text message and phone call. Notifications sent by email, Webhook, DingTalk, and WeCom are free of charge.
The billing plan for the alert management system is separate from the billing plans for other ARMS products. For example, if you have subscribed to the Expert Edition of ARMS Application Monitoring and want to use text message and phone call notifications, you must also subscribe to the alert management system.

Not activated
If you have not subscribed to the alert management system, each account receives a daily free quota of 15 text message notifications and 3 phone call notifications. After you use up the free quota for a notification method, the system stops sending alerts using that method.

Activated
After you use up the free quota, you can subscribe to the alert management system to continue sending alert notifications on a pay-as-you-go basis.
The charges are as follows:

Text message | You receive a daily free quota of 15. After the quota is used, the price is CNY 0.05 per message. | Some carriers may split a long text message, such as one over 70 characters, into two separate messages. If your alert notification is long, you might receive two text messages. However, the alert management service charges you for only one message. |
Phone call | You receive a daily free quota of 3. After the quota is used, the price is CNY 0.15 per call. | You are charged for one call regardless of whether the call connects. |
By default, you can send up to 100,000 notifications per day for each notification method.
Bills are settled daily. The total cost is calculated as follows: (Number of text messages × Unit price per message) + (Number of phone calls × Unit price per call). Log on to the ARMS console and go to the alert management page to view your total spending from the previous day.
For example, assume you send an average of 40 alert text messages per day. Your estimated monthly budget (for a 30-day month) would be (40 - 15) × 30 × 0.05 = CNY 37.5.
