Overdue payments
This topic describes what happens when payments for Application Monitoring become overdue.
When is an account considered overdue?
If you use the pay-as-you-go billing method, your account is considered overdue if your account balance is insufficient to cover a payment and you do not renew the service on the same day.
Overdue payment notifications
When a payment becomes overdue, ARMS sends you a notification by email, text message, or internal message. After you receive the notification, you should renew your service promptly.
Effects of overdue payments
If a payment becomes overdue, ARMS Application Monitoring automatically stops collecting new data. However, your applications are not released and your existing data is not deleted. After you renew your service, ARMS automatically resumes data collection.
Avoid and manage service suspensions from overdue payments
Set a low balance alert
You can log on to Expenses and Costs and set a low-balance alert on the page. If your account balance falls below the alert threshold, the system sends you a notification by text message.
Enable service suspension protection
Alibaba Cloud offers service suspension protection. This feature lets you continue using pay-as-you-go resources after a payment is overdue. You can use the resources for a specified period or up to a specified amount. Billing continues as usual during this protection period.
