Manage consumption

Updated at:

This topic describes how to view the bills and resource usage for Application Security.

Bills

  1. Log on to the Expenses and Costs console. On the Bills > Bill Details page, click the Billing Details tab, specify the Billing Cycle and Product Name filter conditions, and then click Search.

You can view the bills of each instance by setting Statistic Item to Instance.

  2. You can use the cost center feature to tag the costs generated by cloud resource instances for subsequent cost aggregation and review. For more information, see Cost centers.

View resource usage

Log on to the Application Real-Time Monitoring Service (ARMS) console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Application Security > Usage Statistics to view your total usage. On the Usage Statistics page, select an Application (for example, All), a Time Interval (for example, 24 hours), and a Time Range, and then click Query. A bar chart is displayed, showing the number of calls for the specified period.

Disconnect an application

If your application no longer requires protection, disconnect it from Application Security to prevent resource waste and reduce costs. To disconnect an application, follow these steps:

  1. In the ARMS console, go to the Application Security > Application List page. Find the target application and click Disconnect in the Actions column.

  2. In the dialog box that appears, click Confirm.

  3. Restart the application's instances locally to finalize the disconnection from Application Security.

However, we do not recommend disconnecting your application from Application Security solely for performance concerns. After an application is connected, it operates in "Monitor" mode by default. In this mode, the system only reports attack alerts and does not block traffic, with no impact on your application's performance. You can also switch to "Disable" mode to turn off all security detection capabilities. In this mode, the system does not report attack alerts even if a security attack occurs.

Overdue payments

Criteria for overdue payments

If you use the pay-as-you-go billing method, a payment becomes overdue if your account balance is insufficient to settle your bill on the day it is generated.

Overdue payment notifications

If a payment becomes overdue, Application Security sends you a notification by email, SMS, or internal message on the same day. After you receive the notification, add funds to your account as soon as possible.

Impacts of overdue payments

If your account has overdue payments, Application Security stops collecting data and providing protection. However, your instances are not released. After you settle all overdue payments, Application Security automatically resumes collecting data and providing protection.
