Savings plan
A savings plan provides lower rates than standard pay-as-you-go pricing in exchange for a spending commitment over a fixed period. Active savings plans automatically offset eligible pay-as-you-go bills at the discounted rate.
You can stack multiple savings plans.

Example
With a CNY 4,500 annual commitment at a 90% billing rate, you pay 90% of the standard pay-as-you-go price. This covers up to CNY 5,000 of usage (CNY 4,500 / 0.90).

Eligible services
Savings plans automatically apply to eligible usage from the following services. To manage offset rules, go to the Savings Plan Overview page and click Set Deduction Rules in the Actions column.

There is no fixed priority across services. The plan offsets bills on a first-billed, first-offset basis.

Due to billing latency, rule changes may affect bills being generated.

FAQ
How can I change my commitment to get a different discount?
Purchase additional savings plans. Plans with different billing rates are applied and billed separately.
If multiple plans share the same billing rate, the earliest expiring plan applies first. For the same expiration date, the earliest purchased plan takes priority.
How are discounts applied if a service has its own pay-as-you-go discount?
Savings plan discounts cannot combine with other discounts. The system automatically applies whichever discount has the lowest billing rate.

If the savings plan's billing rate is lower than the service's own pay-as-you-go billing rate, the savings plan rate is applied. For example, if the original cost is CNY 200 per day, the savings plan billing rate is 60%, and the service's own billing rate is 80%, the lower 60% rate is applied. The final cost is CNY 200 × 60% = CNY 120.

If the service's own pay-as-you-go billing rate is lower than the savings plan's billing rate, the service's rate is applied. For example, if the original cost is CNY 300 per day, the savings plan billing rate is 90%, and the service's own billing rate is 70%, the lower 70% rate is applied. The final cost is CNY 300 × 70% = CNY 210.

How does a savings plan apply if I use services in both China and international regions?
Usage from all regions is aggregated. The savings plan applies to the combined bill, and any excess usage is charged at the standard pay-as-you-go rate.
To use separate savings plans for different teams, use multiple accounts within your enterprise.
How does a savings plan work if the number of covered instances is not an integer?
For example, if your plan covers 18.22 Prometheus instances per day and you run 19, the first 18 instances are fully covered. For the 19th instance, 22% is covered by the plan and the remaining 78% is charged at the standard pay-as-you-go rate.
