2D real-person avatar customization
To create a 2D digital human video, you must first shoot footage of a real person to serve as the model.
1. Shoot the footage for the 2D digital human
To shoot the footage, follow the instructions in the shooting guide.
The actions of the 2D digital human depend on the model's movements in the source video. The service currently supports only minor, general broadcasting movements. It does not support actions with specific meanings, such as waving goodbye, making a number one sign, or bowing.
2. Upload 2D digital human assets on the platform
If you have not enabled the 2D real-person avatar customization service, you must enable it first. For billing details, see Pricing.
Before you upload the video footage, ensure that the person in the video is you or a third party from whom you have obtained legal authorization.
After the uploaded footage passes the manual review, you must confirm to start the training. Note that billing starts automatically once the training begins.
After you shoot the footage, upload it to the platform.
Log in to the digital human Open Platform console. Go to Asset Center > 2D Digital Human Asset and click the + icon to create a new avatar.
Avatar Name: Enter a name for your avatar.
Profile Picture: Upload an image. This image is displayed in the avatar list on the right.
Transparent Background: If you want to change the video background, shoot the footage in front of a green screen and select Transparent. If you do not plan to change the background, shoot the footage in a real-world setting and select Opaque.
Orientation: Select Portrait for a 1080 × 1920 video or Landscape for a 1920 × 1080 video. Ensure that you select the correct orientation to prevent the video from being displayed upside down.
Description: Enter a description for the avatar. This description is displayed to the right of the avatar in the Asset Center.
Video Footage: Click Select Video Footage to upload the video.
After the video is uploaded, the customization process begins. This process consists of three stages: system check, manual review, and training. You can click the refresh icon next to the status to view the latest updates. The system check verifies video properties, such as format and duration. The manual review examines the video content. If your video does not meet the requirements, you will be notified on the platform and by SMS. You can then upload a new video to restart the process. After your video passes the manual review, you will receive an SMS notification. You must then go to the console and confirm to start the training. Note that billing starts automatically after you confirm.
