This topic describes how to set default fields for data models.
Background
You can define default fields that are automatically added to each new data model. For example, if every data model requires an ID, creation time, and creator field, you can pre-configure these fields to avoid repetitive tasks. After you save the settings, the system automatically adds these default fields to any new data model. You can still modify the default fields or add new ones. These settings affect only data models created after the configuration is saved, not existing ones.
Procedure
Log in to BizWorks, in the select Platform drop-down list selected modeling Platform.
Click the
icon or the text box in the upper-right corner of the page. From the drop-down list, click the name of the project that you want to view and click the Modeling tab. In the Modeling navigation bar, choose . On the Bounding Context page, click the name of the bounding context.
In the bounded context's navigation pane, click Data Model. On the Data Model page, select .
In the Model Default Field Settings panel, click Add Field and configure the parameters. Then, enable Save Settings and click Save. For more information about field types, see Data Model Parameters.
NoteThe system does not add a default field if its field code conflicts with a user-defined field.
