Common resource release errors and solutions

Updated at:

When you release resources in a Cloud Architect Design Tool (CADT) architecture, errors may occur due to resource dependencies, insufficient permissions, or billing constraints. This topic lists common release errors and their solutions.

Failed to release resources

The current resource does not support release, please go to the console to release manually.

Subscription resources cannot be released.

Subscription resources cannot be released before they expire in CADT.

RAM: User not authorized to operate on the specified resource, or this API doesn't support RAM.

The RAM user does not have the required permissions to release the resource.

Grant the RAM user the required permissions. For more information, see Grant permissions to a RAM user.

Failed to release some resources

Resource xxxxxx DependencyViolation: Specified object has dependent resources!

The resource cannot be released because other resources depend on it.

Log on to the console of the cloud service that owns the resource, remove the dependencies, and then release the resource in the CADT console.

InvalidIpStatus.HasBeenUsedBySnatTable: The removed ip address has been used by snat table.

The IP address cannot be released because it is used by a SNAT table.

Log on to the NAT Gateway console, locate the SNAT table that contains the IP address, and delete the associated SNAT entry. Then, release the IP address in the CADT console.

Common resource release errors

  1. Failed to release a resource because other resources depend on it

    • A resource cannot be released because it has a subresource or other resources depend on it. The following example describes a virtual private cloud (VPC) release error and the solution:

Error message: vpc: Resource [vpc-xxxxxxxxx] DependencyViolation: Specified object has dependent resources!

Cause: A subresource exists in the VPC but is not part of the architecture. Delete the subresource in the VPC console.

Solution: Click the VPC name, manually delete the subresource or the VPC in the VPC console, and then release the VPC in the CADT console.

In the Resource Deployment Status dialog box, the resource list shows that the vpc is Running, the vSwitch is Deleted, and the deployment summary status is Execution failed.

    • A resource cannot be released because data associated with the resource has not been deleted. The following example describes an Object Storage Service (OSS) bucket release error and the solution:

Error message: oss: The bucket has objects. Please delete them first.

Cause: The OSS bucket still contains data and cannot be released.

Solution: Click the name of the OSS bucket, manually delete all data in the OSS console, and then release the bucket in the CADT console.

  2. Failed to release a resource of a cloud service that requires activation

Error message: Unsupported to Release, Please submit work order to unsubscribe!

Cause: Resources of cloud services that require activation generally cannot be released directly.

Solution: Submit a ticket to the corresponding cloud service for assistance.

The following table lists some cloud services that require activation.

  3. Failed to release a subscription resource

Error message: The current resource does not support release, please go to the console to release manually.

Cause: CADT does not support releasing subscription resources for some cloud services.

Solution: Log on to the console of the corresponding cloud service or submit a ticket to release the resource, and then release it in the CADT console.
