Global Variable Management

Global variables are referenced in message templates to reduce repetitive parameter configuration. You can add, modify, delete, and search for global variables.

Prerequisites

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Chat App Message Service console.

  2. In the left navigation pane, click Channel Management.

  3. On the Channel Management page, click a Channel ID or click Manage in the Actions column.

  4. Click Global Variable Management in the left navigation pane.

Add a global variable

  1. Click Add Variable.

  2. In the dialog box, configure: Variable Code, Variable Name, Variable Type, and Example.

  3. Click OK.

    Note

    You can then reference this variable in message templates for the current channel.

Modify a global variable

  1. Click Edit in the Actions column.

  2. Modify the variable content.

  3. Click OK.

Delete a global variable

  1. Click Delete in the Actions column.

  2. In the confirmation message, click OK.

Search for a global variable

  1. On the Global Variable Management page, click the search box.

  2. Enter a variable name.

  3. Click the search icon.
