Template design
Create, design, edit, and delete Instagram message templates for an Instagram channel in the Chat App Message Service console.
Instagram templates are managed on the Template Design page of an Instagram channel. First, create a template to define its name, content type, and language. The edit page then opens, where you design the message content and save the template. To change or remove an existing template, return to the Template Design page and edit or delete the template.
Prerequisites
An Instagram send account is connected.
Create a template
Log on to the Chat App Message Service console.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose Instant Message > Instagram.
In the list of sending accounts, click the Send Account Name.
On the Template Design page, click Add.
In the Add dialog box, enter a Template Name and select a Content Type, and Language, and then click OK.
NoteAfter the template is created, you are automatically redirected to the edit page, where you can continue to design the template.
Design a template
Follow these steps to design the new template.
Follow the on-screen instructions to design the template content for the selected content type.
When you are finished, click Save.
When designing template content, note the following:
Template content must comply with Meta content policies.
If you use variables in a template, provide values for them when you send messages.
Edit a template
Edit an Instagram template to change the content of a template that you already saved.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose Instant Message > Instagram.
In the list of sending accounts, click the Send Account Name.
On the Template Design page, find the template that you want to edit and click Edit.
Change the template content based on your requirements, and then click Save. For information about the fields on the edit page, see the Design a template section of this topic.
Delete a template
Delete an Instagram template that you no longer need from the Template Design page of the channel.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose Instant Message > Instagram.
In the list of sending accounts, click the Send Account Name.
On the Template Design page, find the template that you want to delete and click Delete. In the dialog box that appears, click OK to delete the template.
When you delete a template, note the following:
After you delete a template, the template cannot be restored. Proceed with caution.
After you delete a template, you cannot use the template to send new messages.
Sent historical messages are not affected.
