Template design

Instagram templates are managed on the Template Design page of an Instagram channel. First, create a template to define its name, content type, and language. The edit page then opens, where you design the message content and save the template. To change or remove an existing template, return to the Template Design page and edit or delete the template.

Prerequisites

• An Instagram channel. For instructions, see Create and Manage Instagram Channels.

• An Instagram professional account. For instructions, see How to Create an Instagram Professional Account.

Create a template

1. Log on to the Chat App Message Service console. In the left navigation pane, click Channel Management. Click the Channel ID of the Instagram channel that you want to manage.

2. On the Template Design page, click Add.

3. In the Add dialog box, enter a Template Name and select a Content Type, such as Quick Reply. Select the Language of the template content, for example, Simplified Chinese (China), and then click OK.

   Note

   After the template is created, you are automatically redirected to the edit page, where you can continue to design the template. For more information, see Design a template.

Design a template

Design an Instagram template to build its message content. The edit page opens automatically after you create a template. To design a template that already exists, click Edit on the Template Design page to open the edit page.

The fields on the edit page depend on the Content Type that you selected when you created the template. The following steps apply to a template whose content type is Quick Reply.

1. In the settings panel on the right, enter a Quick Reply Name.

2. In the Message area, select a Content Type, such as Text, and then enter the Reply Content. To add more messages, click + Add Message.

3. After you finish the design, click Save.

Edit a template

Edit an Instagram template to change the content of a template that you already saved.

1. Log on to the Chat App Message Service console. In the left navigation pane, click Channel Management. Click the Channel ID of the Instagram channel that you want to manage.

2. On the Template Design page, find the template that you want to edit and click Edit.

3. Change the template content based on your requirements, and then click Save. For information about the fields on the edit page, see the Design a template section of this topic.

Delete a template

Delete an Instagram template that you no longer need from the Template Design page of the channel.

1. Log on to the Chat App Message Service console. In the left navigation pane, click Channel Management. Click the Channel ID of the Instagram channel that you want to manage.

2. On the Template Design page, find the template that you want to delete and click Delete. In the dialog box that appears, click OK to delete the template.
