This topic describes how to configure the Send an Email component.

Send an Email

Prerequisites

To configure this component, access the flow canvas by using an existing flow or creating a new one.

  • Go to the canvas of an existing flow

    In the Chat Flow > Flow Management > Flow Name

  • Create a new flow to open its canvas. For more information, see Create a flow.

Procedure

  1. Click the Send an Email component icon on the canvas to view the configuration panel on the right.

    In the configuration panel, you can view a list of available variables, such as incomingMessage, wabaId, and customerPhoneNumber. In the sending address area, select Email as the sending channel and enter a sending address. In the recipient area, enter a recipient address. In the message content area, select a template type, such as marketing. After you finish the configuration, click save in the upper-right corner.

  2. Configure the component parameters. For detailed descriptions, see Parameters.

  3. After you finish the configuration, click Save. In the dialog box that appears, click Save.

Sending Channel

Select an existing Email channel.

Sending Address

Select a sending address that is bound to the channel. For more information, see Bind a sending address.

Recipient Address

Enter an email address or define it using a variable.

Template Type

Select the template type that corresponds to the type of the bound sending address.

  • Sending addresses of the Batch Emails type support only marketing templates.

  • Sending addresses of the Triggered Emails type support utility and authentication templates.

Select Template

Select an email template that has been created and submitted under the selected template type.

Content Preview

Displays a preview of the template content. If the template contains variables, you must assign values to them. You can use available system variables or custom-defined variables.
