You can delete pay-as-you-go ApsaraDB for ClickHouse clusters. This topic explains how to delete a cluster in the ApsaraDB for ClickHouse console.

Warning

Deleting a cluster is irreversible. All data in the cluster is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Proceed with caution. We recommend that you migrate or back up your data before you delete the cluster. For more information, see Data migration and synchronization and Import and export data by using CSV files.

Prerequisites

The cluster is in the Running state.

Usage notes

You cannot directly delete a subscription cluster. To release a subscription cluster, use one of the following methods:

  • Wait for the cluster to be automatically released after its subscription expires. For more information about billing after expiration, see Overdue payments.

  • Manually release the cluster before its subscription expires. For more information, see Unsubscribe from a resource.

Billing

After a cluster is released, billing for the cluster stops immediately. The associated Classic Load Balancer (CLB) instance is also released, and its billing stops within the next hour. For more information about CLB fees, see Billing of dependent services.

Note
  • If a cluster is locked due to an overdue payment and is then released, its associated CLB instance is not automatically released. The CLB instance is released only after you settle the payment.

  • From the time the cluster is locked until it is released, CLB charges continue to accrue. If you no longer plan to use the cluster, we recommend that you release the CLB instance promptly to avoid additional charges. For more information, see Release a CLB instance.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for ClickHouse console.

  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region where the target cluster is located.

  3. On the Clusters page, click the tab for the edition of your cluster.

    • For an enterprise edition cluster, click Release in the Actions column.

  5. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.
