This topic describes how to enable the MySQL protocol. After the protocol is enabled, you can connect to ApsaraDB for ClickHouse clusters over the MySQL protocol.
Prerequisites
The cluster is a Community Edition cluster that runs version 20.8 or later and was created before December 2021.
Precautions
Only Community Edition clusters of ApsaraDB for ClickHouse that run version 20.8 or later support the MySQL protocol.
The MySQL protocol is automatically enabled for Community Edition clusters that run version 20.8 or later and were created after December 2021.
The MySQL protocol is automatically enabled for ApsaraDB for ClickHouse Enterprise Edition clusters.
Procedure
Log on to the ApsaraDB for ClickHouse console.
In the upper-left corner, select the region where the cluster that you want to manage is deployed.
On the Clusters page, click the Community Edition Instances tab, and then click the ID of the target cluster.
On the Cluster Information page, click Enable MySQL Protocol.
In the Enable MySQL Protocol dialog box, click OK.
After you enable the MySQL protocol, the cluster status changes to Network Creating. The cluster remains in this state for about one minute. Wait for the cluster status to change to Running, which indicates that the MySQL protocol is enabled.
