Use the Verify SAP HANA Nodes feature to install or uninstall the backup client for ECS in response to changes in your SAP HANA cluster.
Prerequisites
You have registered an SAP HANA instance. For more information, see Register an SAP HANA instance.
Background information
The Verify SAP HANA Nodes feature automatically detects node changes in your SAP HANA cluster. It then prompts you to install the backup client for ECS on newly added nodes and uninstall it from nodes that have been removed from the cluster.
Procedure
Log on to the Cloud Backup console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
In the top navigation bar, select the region where the SAP HANA instance is located.
On the SAP HANA Instances page, find the target instance and choose More > View Details in the Actions column.
In the upper-right corner of the SAP HANA Instance page, click Verify Node.
In the Verify Node panel, review the node information.
Select the nodes where you want to install or uninstall the backup client for ECS.
Click OK.
On the SAP HANA Instance page, you can click Add Node to manually add nodes to the SAP HANA cluster. You must select the ECS instances where you want to install the backup client for ECS. You can also click the Databases tab to view the status of all databases in the SAP HANA instance.
