When you back up and restore local files, you can view the backup overview, data source list, and backup details.

View statistics for backup resources in the current region
On the Local File Backup page, select a region at the top to view statistics for backup resources and virus detection for backup points in that region. The following table describes the metrics.

Backup resource statistics |
Backed up local file data sources |
The total number of local file data sources that have backup points. This includes released data sources that still have backup points. It does not include data sources for which backups are created but no backup points exist. |
Suppose you have 12 local file data sources in the current region. 5 have local file backup enabled and have generated backup points. 3 have backup enabled but have not yet generated backup points. 4 have not had backups created. The statistics are as follows:
The 3 data sources with backup enabled but no backup points are counted under "Local file data sources that are not backed up". After backup points are generated, they are automatically counted under "Backed up local file data sources". The statistics are then as follows:
If you have released local file data sources but their backup points are retained for restores, these data sources are also counted under "Backed up local file data sources". |
|
Local file data sources that are not backed up |
The total number of existing local file data sources that do not have backup points. This includes only data sources that have not been released. It also includes data sources for which backups are enabled but no backup points have been generated, for example, due to recent activation, persistent backup failures, or expired backup points from paused backups. |
||
|
Total backup points scanned |
Shows the total number of backup points that have been scanned. |
||
|
Total files scanned |
Shows the cumulative number of times all files have been scanned and the number of files at important, medium, low, and safe risk levels. This is the basis for virus detection billing. The same file may be scanned multiple times depending on user operations. |

View the data source list
The local file data source list is displayed below the backup resource statistics. The page provides two views:
-
Protected local file data sources: Displays local file data sources that have backup plans or backup points, with a focus on the backup protection status.
-
Local file data sources: Displays all added local file data sources, with a focus on data source management information.
Data sources that have a backup plan or backup points appear on both tabs. The Protected local file data sources tab shows the protection status and backup history of the data source. The Local file data sources tab shows the basic information of all data sources.
Protected local file data sources
The Protected local file data sources tab displays the following fields:
|
Field |
Description |
|
Local file data source ID/Name |
The unique identifier and custom name of the data source. |
|
Operating system |
The operating system type where the client is located. |
|
IP address |
The IP address of the client. |
|
Backup status |
The running status of the current backup job. The statuses are described as follows:
|
|
Number of backup points |
The total number of backup points generated for the data source. Click the number to view the list of backup points. |
|
Number of backup plans |
The number of backup plans created for the data source. |
|
Last backup time |
The completion time of the most recent backup job. |
|
Next backup time |
The time of the next backup scheduled by the backup plan. |
|
Operations |
Click View Details to go to the data source details page and view detailed backup information for the data source. |
Local file data sources
The Local file data sources tab displays the following fields:
|
Field |
Description |
|
Data source name/ID |
The custom name and unique identifier of the local file data source. |
|
Tag |
The custom tag of the data source. |
|
Network type |
The network connectivity type of the data source, such as VPC (HTTPS) or Internet (HTTPS). |
|
IP address |
The IP address of the client. |
|
Client version |
The version number of the backup client. |
|
Client status |
The running status of the backup client. |
|
Last active time |
The time of the client's last heartbeat. |
|
Operations |
Click Client Settings to open the client settings panel, where you can configure data transmission and backup parameters. Click More to perform other operations, such as Alarm Settings. |
View backup details
After you back up local files, find the target local file data source in the Protected local file data sources list and click View Details in the Operations column to go to the data source details page.
The data source details page contains five tabs: Backup Details, Backup Plan, Backup Job, Restore Job, and Virus Detection. The following table describes the modules on the Backup Details tab.
|
Module |
Description |
|
Basic information |
Displays the last backup time, next backup time, last restore time, number of backup points, number of backup plans, and backup status. It also provides links to view backup plans, backup or restore jobs, and to cancel the backup for the local file data source. |
|
Client information |
Displays the client status, client version, last active time, data network, and IP address. It also provides a link to manage the backup client. |
|
Backup history |
Displays backup history information, including the file path, completion time, expiration time, backup data size, backup ID, backup vault ID, backup policy ID, backup storage tier, virus detection status, and backup status. It also provides links to perform operations such as content management, browsing, restoring local files, and virus detection. |
