Backup resource statistics |
Backed-up on-premises NAS data sources |
The total number of on-premises NAS data sources that have backup points, including released data sources with remaining backup points. Data sources with backups created but no backup points are excluded. This metric covers both on-premises NAS data sources and Alibaba Cloud Extreme NAS instances backed up as on-premises NAS data sources. |
Suppose you have added 12 on-premises NAS data sources in the current region. Among them, 5 have backups activated and backup points generated, 3 have backups activated but no backup points generated yet, and 4 have no backups created. The statistics are as follows:
The 3 data sources with activated backups but no backup points are counted as "Unbacked-up on-premises NAS data sources". After backup points are generated, they are automatically counted as "Backed-up on-premises NAS data sources". The statistics then become:
If you have released on-premises NAS data sources that still have backup points for recovery, these data sources are also counted as "Backed-up on-premises NAS data sources". |
|
Unbacked-up on-premises NAS data sources |
The total number of existing unreleased on-premises NAS data sources without backup points, including data sources with backups activated but no backup points generated. For example, a backup was just activated, a backup job keeps failing, or backup points expired because the backup is paused. This metric covers both on-premises NAS data sources and Alibaba Cloud Extreme NAS instances backed up as on-premises NAS data sources. |
||
|
Total backup points scanned |
The total number of backup points scanned. |
||
|
Total files scanned |
The cumulative number of file scans across all files, broken down by risk level: high-risk, medium-risk, low-risk, and safe. This metric is used for virus detection billing. A single file may be scanned multiple times. |

View the data source list
The on-premises NAS data source list appears below the backup resource statistics. Two views are available:
-
Protected on-premises NAS data sources: Lists on-premises NAS data sources that have backup plans or backup points, focusing on backup protection status.
-
On-premises NAS data sources: Lists all added on-premises NAS data sources, focusing on data source management information.
Data sources with backup plans or backup points appear in both tabs. The Protected on-premises NAS data sources tab shows protection status and backup history from a backup perspective. The On-premises NAS data sources tab shows basic information of all data sources from a management perspective.
Protected on-premises NAS data sources
The Protected on-premises NAS data sources tab contains the following fields:
|
Field |
Description |
|
Data source ID/Name |
The unique identifier and custom name of the data source. |
|
Data source path |
The mount path or shared path of the on-premises NAS file system. |
|
Backup status |
The current backup job status. Possible values:
|
|
Number of backup points |
The total number of backup points generated for the data source. Click the number to view the list of backup points. |
|
Number of backup plans |
The number of backup plans created for the data source. |
|
Last backup time |
The completion time of the last backup job. |
|
Next backup time |
The time of the next backup scheduled by the backup plan. |
|
Operations |
Click View Details to go to the data source details page and view detailed backup information for the data source. |
On-premises NAS data sources
The On-premises NAS data sources tab lists all added on-premises NAS data sources. At the top of the tab, you can:
-
Click Add Data Source to register an on-premises NAS file system as a backup data source.
-
Click Add Client to deploy a new backup client in a client group.
-
Click View Client Groups to go to the client group management page.
The list contains the following fields:
|
Field |
Description |
|
NAS instance name/ID |
The custom name and unique identifier of the on-premises NAS data source. |
|
Protocol type |
The file sharing protocol used by the on-premises NAS, such as NFS or SMB. |
|
NAS network address |
The network address of the on-premises NAS. |
|
Client group name/ID |
The name and ID of the client group associated with the data source. |
|
Operations |
Click Delete to delete the data source. Click the ⋮ icon and select Edit to edit the data source information or Adjust Client Group to change the client group. |
View backup details
After you back up on-premises NAS files, find the target on-premises NAS data source in the Protected on-premises NAS data sources list and click View Details in the Operations column to go to the data source details page.
The data source details page has five tabs: Backup Details, Backup Plans, Backup Jobs, Restore Jobs, and Virus Detection. The following table describes the modules on the Backup Details tab.
|
Module |
Description |
|
Basic information |
Shows the last backup time, next backup time, last recovery time, number of backup points, number of backup plans, and backup status. Also provides links to view backup plans, backup jobs, or restore jobs. |
|
Client group information |
Shows the client group name/ID, number of clients, client status, client version, last active time, data network, and IP address. Also lets you perform client group management and manage client groups operations. To the right of View Clients, select different client information. |
|
Backup history |
Shows backup history, including the file path, completion time, time-to-live (TTL), backup data size, backup ID, backup vault ID, backup policy ID, backup storage tier, virus detection status, and backup status. Also lets you perform backup content management, recover on-premises NAS, and virus detection operations. |
