After you back up and recover files in Object Storage Service (OSS) buckets, you can view the backup overview and details.
View the backup overview
On the OSS Backup page, select a region at the top of the page to view statistics about backup resources and backup point virus scans in that region. The following table describes each metric.
This page displays the combined data for the current account and all cross-account resources.
Category | Metric | Description | Example |
Backup resource statistics | Backed-up buckets | The total number of OSS buckets that have at least one backup point. This includes deleted buckets that still have backup points but excludes buckets that have a backup plan but no backup points. | Suppose there are 12 active buckets in the current region. Of these, 5 have active backup plans and have generated backup points, 3 have active backup plans but have not yet generated backup points, and 4 do not have backup plans. In this case, the page displays:
The 3 buckets with active plans but no backup points are temporarily classified as "Un-backed-up buckets". After these buckets complete their first backup and generate backup points, they are automatically moved to "Backed-up buckets". The display then changes to:
If a deleted bucket still has backup points available for recovery, it is also counted as a "Backed-up bucket". |
Un-backed-up buckets | The total number of existing buckets with no backup points. This includes buckets where a backup plan is active but no backup points have been generated. This can happen if a plan was just activated, backups consistently fail, or backup points expired because the plan was paused.
Total backup points scanned | The total number of backup points that have been scanned.
Total files scanned | The cumulative number of times all files have been scanned. It also shows the number of files classified as important, medium-risk, low-risk, and safe. This data is the basis for virus scan billing. The same file may be scanned multiple times based on user operations.
Below the statistics, you can view backup details for each bucket. The list includes all OSS buckets in the current region, regardless of their backup status. The columns are described as follows:
OSS Bucket: The name of the bucket. For cross-region buckets, an identifier for the source region is displayed.
Bucket status: The current status of the bucket, such as Normal or Released.
Backup status: Indicates the backup protection status of the bucket. Common statuses include Ready (a backup plan is created and is waiting to run the first backup), Backing up (backups are running normally), Paused (backup jobs are paused, but existing backup data is retained), and Stopped (the bucket is released or unreachable, and backups have stopped automatically). Click the help icon next to the column heading for a full description of all statuses.
Number of backup points: The total number of backup points for the bucket.
Number of backup plans: The number of backup plans associated with the bucket.
Last backup time: The time the last backup was completed. If the last backup job failed, "Failed" is displayed.
Next backup time: The time the next backup is scheduled to run.
Actions: Click View Details to open the backup details page for the bucket.
View backup details
After you create a backup plan, in the bucket list, click View Details in the Actions column for the target bucket. On the Backup Details tab, you can view backup information. To manage backup plans, view backup jobs and restore jobs, or perform a virus scan, you can switch to the corresponding tab.
Module | Description |
Basic information | Displays the last backup time, next backup time, last restore time, backup status, number of backup plans, and number of backup points. You can also navigate to view backup or restore jobs. |
Backup history | Displays backup history information, including the file path, completion time, time-to-live (TTL), backup data size, backup ID, backup vault ID, backup policy ID, storage tier, virus scan status, and backup status. You can filter the history by completion time, backup vault ID, or backup policy ID. You can also perform operations such as content management, creating an OSS restore job, and running a virus scan. |
