After you create a Cloud Connector instance, you must add IP addresses to the instance. These IP addresses correspond to your IoT cards and allow IoT terminals to access destination addresses in Alibaba Cloud, specified IoT applications, or IDC services.

Add IP addresses

The IP addresses that you add to a Cloud Connector instance must meet the following requirements:
  • The IP addresses must be valid and belong to the dedicated APN associated with the Cloud Connector instance.
  • The IP addresses must not be used by another Cloud Connector instance.
  1. Log on to the Cloud Connector management console.
  2. On the Instances page, find the target Cloud Connector instance and, in the Actions column, click Add IP.
  3. On the IP management tab, click Download template. Add the IP addresses to the downloaded template file and save it.
  4. On the IP management tab, click Add IP.
  5. In the Add IP dialog box, click Select file and select the file that you saved in step 3. After the file is uploaded, click OK.
    Note The file to be uploaded must be in CSV format.

Delete IP addresses

Warning You can delete IP addresses that are no longer needed. After an IP address is deleted, the associated IoT terminal can no longer access destination addresses in Alibaba Cloud, on the internet, or in IDC services through the Cloud Connector instance. This action can disrupt services. Proceed with caution.
  1. Log on to the Cloud Connector management console.
  2. On the Instances page, find the target Cloud Connector instance and click its instance ID.
  3. Click the IP management tab, find the target IP address and, in the Actions column, click Delete.
    Note You can select multiple IP addresses and click Batch delete at the bottom of the list to delete them in bulk.
  4. In the confirmation dialog box that appears, click OK.

IP addition failures

If adding an IP address fails, it may be for one of the following reasons. Review the cause and try again.
Error codeDescription
IP_NOT_EXISTThe IP address does not belong to the selected dedicated APN.
IP_ASSOCIATED_WITH_OTHER_CONNECTION_POOLThe IP address is already used by another Cloud Connector instance.
IP_STATUS_NOT_SATISFIED_ACTIVITEDThe IP address is already associated with this Cloud Connector instance.
IP_STATUS_NOT_SATISFIED_INITThe IP address is not activated.
