When you download files from a Cloud Web Hosting instance using an FTP tool, the transfer may be frequently interrupted. This issue can occur if you transfer many files at once or if your network connection is unstable. This topic describes the solution.
Problem description
When you use an FTP tool to connect to a Cloud Web Hosting instance, downloads from the site directory are frequently interrupted.
Possible causes
FTP tools transfer multiple website program files by adding them to a queue for sequential upload. Many files can create a long queue, which increases the risk of an interruption if your network connection is unstable.
Solutions
If you encounter this issue when using an FTP tool, use the File Manager feature provided by Cloud Web Hosting. Compress the files that you want to download into a single package. Then, use File Manager to download the compressed package to your local computer.
Compress the files that you want to download.
Log on to the Cloud Web Hosting console.
Find the Cloud Web Hosting instance containing the files you want to download and click Manage in the Operation column.
In the left navigation pane, choose .
On the File Manager page, click Site Root Directory.
Find the site data to download and click Compress in the Operation column.
To download all data for the Site Root Directory, click Compress in the Operation column.
In the File Compression dialog box, set the save path and format for the compressed package, and then click Confirm.
In the dialog box indicating that the compression is successful, click Confirm.
Find the compressed package and click Download in the Operation column.
