Host and site information

Procedure

This topic uses a dedicated web hosting instance (Enhanced Edition) that runs Linux as an example. The UI may vary depending on your instance.

1. Log on to the Cloud Web Hosting management page.
2. Find the Cloud Web Hosting instance you want to manage and click Manage in the Actions column.

3. View the host and site information for the Web Hosting instance.

   Host information

   Note

   The Host Information page for shared web hosting instances differs from that for dedicated web hosting instances. This topic uses a dedicated web hosting instance (Enhanced Edition) that runs Linux as an example. The UI may vary.

   In the left-side navigation pane, click Host Information to view the basic server information, custom monitoring and alerts, and monitoring information for the Web Hosting instance.

   • Basic Server Information

     • View the server name and remarks, product type, creation and expiration dates, running status, IP address, and supported programming languages of the host.

     • View the host's operating system, web space, CPU, memory, peak bandwidth, Anti-DDoS protection status, and region. The Anti-DDoS protection status is one of the following:

       Status	Description
       Normal	Indicates that the Web Hosting site is running as expected.
       Blackhole	Indicates that the Alibaba Cloud Anti-DDoS system has detected a DDoS attack against your site and the Web Hosting instance is in a blackhole state. The Web Hosting instance can resume normal operation only after it is automatically removed from the blackhole. For more information about blackholes, see Alibaba Cloud blackhole policy.
       -	On the Host Information page, if a prompt appears indicating a failure to query the DDoS status, it means the backend query method has failed to execute and the status for Anti-DDoS protection is not displayed. If the prompt still appears after you refresh the page, submit a ticket for help.

     • You can also restart the server or use this information to determine whether you need to apply for an ICP filing, renew, upgrade, or change the data center. For more information, see the following topics:

       Note

       A server restart takes about 15 minutes. During this time, your operations will not take effect. Please wait for the restart to complete before performing other operations.

   • Custom Monitoring and Alerts

     Important

     The custom monitoring and alerts feature is available only for dedicated web hosting instances that run Linux.

     • The custom monitoring and alerts feature is supported on dedicated web hosting instances (Enhanced Edition) that run Linux.

     • The custom monitoring and alerts feature is partially supported on dedicated web hosting instances (non-Enhanced Edition) that run Linux. For availability, check the UI in the Web Hosting console.

     Configure monitoring and alert settings to monitor the status of your website in real time.

     1. Click Set Monitoring and Alerts.

     2. On the Set Monitoring and Alerts page, in the Monitoring Rules section, configure alarm thresholds for CPU, memory, number of connections, web space, and file count.

     3. On the Set Monitoring and Alerts page, in the Alert Configuration area, set the alert time, the phone number to receive alert SMS, the DingTalk callback URL, the email address to receive alert information, and whether to enable the alert switch.

        To obtain the DingTalk callback URL, hover over the icon next to DingTalk Callback to view the detailed steps.

        Note

        When you configure the Alert Phone Number, DingTalk Callback, or Alert Email parameters, you can specify only one recipient for each. A maximum of 10 SMS alerts can be sent per day, and the interval between alerts is 30 minutes.

     4. Click Confirm.

        After you configure the custom monitoring and alerts feature, you can view the configured monitoring and alert parameters in the Custom Monitoring and Alerts area.

        Monitoring alert parameters include CPU Alert Threshold, Memory Alert Threshold, Connections Alert Threshold, Web Space Alert Threshold, and Number of Files Alert Threshold. Alert notification settings include Alert Time, DingTalk Callback, Alert Phone, Alert Email, and Alert Switch.

   • Monitoring Information

     View charts that show the usage of CPU, web space, number of files and folders, memory, and bandwidth over time. You can also view connection usage trends, broken down by connection type and source IP address.

   • Basic server information

     • View the host's server name, remarks, product type, creation and expiration dates, running status, IP address, and supported language types.

     • View the host's operating system, web space size, CPU size, memory size, peak bandwidth, Anti-DDoS protection status, and region. The Anti-DDoS protection status is displayed as follows:

       Status	Description
       Normal	The Web Hosting site is running normally.
       Blackhole	Alibaba Cloud's internal DDoS detection system has detected an attack on the Web Hosting site. The instance is now in a blackhole state. The instance can operate normally again only after it is automatically removed from the blackhole. For more information about blackholes, see Alibaba Cloud Blackhole Policy.
       -	On the Host Information page, a message may appear indicating that the query for the DDoS status failed. This means an exception occurred with the backend query method, and the Anti-DDoS protection status cannot be displayed. If the message persists after you refresh the page, submit a ticket for help.

     • Restart the host server, or use key host information to determine if the host requires an ICP filing, renewal, an upgrade, or a data center change. For more information, see:

       Note

       A server restart takes 15 minutes. During the restart, any operations that you perform do not take effect. Perform other operations only after the restart is complete.

   • Custom monitoring and alerts

     Important

     Only dedicated web hosting instances that run Linux support custom monitoring and alerts. The limitations are as follows:

     • Enhanced dedicated web hosting instances that run Linux support custom monitoring and alerts.

     • Non-enhanced dedicated web hosting instances that run Linux partially support custom monitoring and alerts. Refer to the Web Hosting console for the supported features.

     Set monitoring and alert items. After the items are set, you can view their details. The custom monitoring and alerts feature lets you monitor the running status of your website in real time. The steps are as follows:

     1. Click Set Monitoring and Alerts.

     2. On the Set Monitoring and Alerts page, in the Monitoring Rules section, set rules for the CPU alert threshold, memory alert threshold, number of connections alert threshold, web space alert threshold, and file count alert threshold.

     3. On the Set Monitoring and Alerts page, in the Alert Configuration section, set the alert time, the phone number to receive alert text messages, the DingTalk callback URL, the email address to receive alert information, and whether to enable alerts.

        Note

     4. Click OK.

        After you set up custom monitoring and alerts, you can view the configured monitoring and alert parameters in the Custom Monitoring and Alerts section.

        The monitoring and alert parameters include CPU Alert Threshold, Memory Alert Threshold, Number of Connections Alert Threshold, Web Space Alert Threshold, and File Count Alert Threshold, and alert notification settings such as Alert Time, DingTalk Callback, Alert Phone Number, Alert Email, and Alert Switch.

   • Monitoring information

     View CPU usage, web space usage, file and folder counts, and trend charts for memory, bandwidth, and the number of connections. The connection data is categorized by connection type and source IP address.

   Site information

   In the left navigation bar, click Site Information to obtain the information needed to configure the website.

   • Website Information

     • View the temporary domain name, which you can use to debug or test your website before registering an official domain name. For more information, see What is a temporary domain name?.

     • View the real-time usage of web space, number of files and folders, traffic, and database space.

   • Account Information

     • View the username and password for the host management console, which are required for verification during the ICP filing process.

     • View your FTP credentials, including the FTP logon username, password, and host address. These credentials are required to connect to the Web Hosting instance from a local FTP client.

     • If you forget your passwords or need to change them for security reasons, you can reset the passwords for the host management console and FTP logon. For more information, see Reset the passwords for the host management console and FTP logon.

   • Database Information

     View your database credentials, including the database name, username, password, and address. These credentials are required to install your website application or use the DMS database management platform.
