Increase traffic for shared web hosting

If your shared web hosting exhausts its monthly standard traffic, your website becomes inaccessible. To prevent service interruptions during high-traffic periods, purchase additional traffic promptly. This ensures website stability and reliability, and improves the user experience.

Considerations

  • Traffic packages are a one-time purchase and are non-refundable.

  • Shared web hosting first consumes the standard monthly traffic. A purchased traffic package is used only after the standard traffic is depleted. Unused traffic from the package at the end of the month rolls over for future use.

  • If you have unused traffic from a purchased traffic package, the following operations have different outcomes:

    • Changing the host operating system or upgrading the host: The remaining traffic is forfeited.

    • Changing the data center of the host: The remaining traffic is carried over to the new host.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Cloud Web Hosting management page.
  2. On the Web Hosting page, find your shared web hosting instance, and in the Actions column, click 图标 > Purchase Traffic.

  3. In the Confirm to Increase Traffic step, set the number of traffic packages to add, and click Next.

Each traffic package provides 50 GB of traffic. You can purchase up to 20 packages (a total of 1,000 GB) at a time. A 50 GB traffic package costs CNY 200. The price displayed on the purchase page prevails.

  4. Click Submit.
  5. On the payment page, confirm your order details, select a payment method, and click Pay.

After a successful payment, wait 3 to 5 minutes and then return to the Cloud Web Hosting management page. The purchased traffic will be reflected in the Host Type/Configuration column for your host.

    Note

The standard monthly traffic is 30 GB for Economy shared web hosting and 40 GB for Enhanced Economy shared web hosting.
