FAQ
Symptom: When you use Windows Explorer to connect to a Web Hosting instance, the connection fails. An FTP Folder Error message appears, which includes the FTP response codes 200 Switching to ASCII mode and 227 Entering Passive Mode.
Possible cause: Windows Explorer may be blocked by a firewall or be behind a NAT gateway. This can cause the connection to fail because the Web Hosting instance cannot find the port used by Windows Explorer.
Solution:
In the search box on your local computer, type Internet Options and press Enter.
In the Internet Properties dialog box that appears, click the Advanced tab.
In the Browsing section, clear the Use passive FTP (for firewall and DSL modem compatibility) check box, and then click OK.
Try connecting to the Web Hosting instance by using Windows Explorer again.
