Features

Migration Assistant uses a large artificial intelligence (AI) model to generate a migration solution for migrating to Alibaba Cloud. The solution is based on your cloud environment and requirements. After the solution is generated, you can use the Migration Assistant model to refine the content. You can then export the solution as a PDF file, or copy the full text or specific paragraphs to your document.

Create a migration solution

You can click Create Migration Solution and provide the following information:

1. Solution name

2. Solution description (Optional)

3. Select a solution template: The template determines the outline and content of the generated solution. You can select a template that meets your needs.

After you create the solution, go to the solution details page. You can click Migration Requirements to enter a description of your requirements:

Business information

In this step, you can provide information about your current system and migration requirements. This information helps generate a more accurate migration solution.

1. Migration requirement overview: You can briefly describe your basic information, source deployment details, and basic migration requirements.

2. Migration system overview: You can select the source cloud platform.

3. Migration requirements and objectives: You can select "Lift and shift" to retain the source architecture and product selection. You can also select "Replace self-built with cloud products" to replace self-built components with Alibaba Cloud products where possible.

Migration scope and solution

In this step, you can enter your source resource information. You can use Manual Input, Upload Excel File, or Select CMH Surveyed Resources. The system combines this information with your business information to recommend Alibaba Cloud products and migration solutions.

Method 1: Enter source resource information manually

You can also click Edit in the upper-right corner of an input box to manually change the generated content.

Method 2: Upload an Excel file to enter source resource information

You can upload a local Excel file that describes your source information. The system uses the large model to automatically read the file and populate the source resources.

Method 3: Select resources already surveyed by CMH to enter source resource information

You can select resource information that has already been collected by a survey in CMH.

Generate the full solution

After you create and save the migration requirements, the following page appears. You can click Confirm to start generating the migration solution:

You can view the progress as the solution is generated:

When generation is complete, the status changes to "Generation finished". The outline and content of the migration solution are based on the Solution Template you selected:

After the solution is generated, the system automatically saves the content. You can also click the Save button to save the content manually.

AI document optimization

If a part of the generated document does not meet your requirements, you can select that content, click AI Rewrite, and enter your new requirements. The large model then regenerates the selected content based on your input.

Copy and export document content

After you generate and optimize the document, you can click the Copy button in the upper-right corner to copy the full text. To copy a single paragraph, you can click the Copy icon in the upper-right corner of that paragraph.

You can click Export PDF in the upper-right corner to export the document as a PDF file.
