This topic describes how Cloud Monitor handles overdue payments for pay-as-you-go accounts, expired subscription plans, and expired resource plans.
Pay-as-you-go
When your pay-as-you-go account has an overdue payment, Cloud Monitor handles each billable item as described in the following table. After you make the payment, paused services automatically resume.
| Billable item | Handling method |
| API calls to query monitoring data | Calls are blocked after the free quota is exceeded. |
| Site monitoring jobs | All detection jobs are paused. |
| Log Monitoring | Data processing jobs are paused. |
| Event Monitoring | Event reporting is disabled. |
| Custom monitoring | Data reporting is disabled. |
Subscription plans
When your subscription plan expires, Cloud Monitor handles each plan as follows:
- Professional and Enterprise editions
When a Professional Edition or Enterprise Edition plan expires, your quota reverts to the Free Edition quota.
- Custom plansWhen a subscription-based custom plan expires, Cloud Monitor handles each billable item as described in the following table.
Billable item Handling method Alert text messages The quota reverts to the Free Edition quota. API calls to query monitoring data The quota reverts to the Free Edition quota. Site monitoring jobs The quota reverts to the Free Edition quota. If the number of jobs or detection points exceeds the Free Edition quota, all jobs are paused. To resume the jobs, you can reduce the number of jobs to fall within the quota or upgrade your plan. ECS detection points The quota reverts to the Free Edition quota. Carrier detection points The quota reverts to the Free Edition quota. Log Monitoring - Peak processing rate The Free Edition does not support this feature. When the plan expires, computing jobs are paused and no more monitoring data is generated. However, the related monitoring configurations are retained. Event Monitoring - Number of events The quota reverts to the Free Edition quota. You can still query reported event data within the valid query period. The data is not deleted. Event Monitoring - Storage duration The storage duration reverts to the limit of the Free Edition. You can query data that falls within this new duration. Custom time series When the plan expires, the quota reverts to the Free Edition quota. You cannot report monitoring data for time series that exceed the quota, and you can no longer use the raw data reporting feature. Seven days after expiration, time series that exceed the quota are deleted, starting with the most recently created ones.
Resource plan
When an alert text message package or alert phone call package expires, you can no longer use it. You must purchase a new package.
