Resource plans are a prepaid billing method that offers discounts. After you enable pay-as-you-go billing for basic CloudMonitor and purchase a resource plan, the plan offsets usage that exceeds the free quota.
You must enable pay-as-you-go billing for basic CloudMonitor before you can purchase resource plans.

Text message alert resource plan |
Assume you have enabled pay-as-you-go billing for basic CloudMonitor. At 13:00:00 on June 1, 2023, you used 600 text message alerts, then purchased a resource plan for 10,000 text message alerts and used another 5,000. The remaining balance is calculated as follows: Remaining free quota before purchase = (1,000 messages - 600 messages) = 400 messages Remaining resource plan balance = 10,000 messages - (5,000 messages - 400 messages) = 5,400 messages Note

Phone call alert resource plan |
Assume you have enabled pay-as-you-go billing for basic CloudMonitor. On June 1, 2023, you purchased a resource plan for 5,000 phone call alerts and used 5,500. The resource plan is depleted, and the remaining 500 calls are billed on a pay-as-you-go basis. Note
Starting from April 27, 2024, you are not charged for unanswered phone calls. |

View resource plan details
After you purchase a resource plan, check its usage to manage your resources.

Log on to the Expenses and Costs console.

In the navigation pane on the left of Expenses and Costs, choose Account > Resource Plan, select the Resource Plan radio button, and then click the Usage Details tab to view your resource plan usage.
