Set alert rules for host monitoring metrics, site monitoring detection points, Alibaba Cloud service monitoring instances, and custom monitoring metrics. Rules apply at the all-resources, application group, or single-instance level.
Alerts are sent by phone call, text message, email, and webhook. If you install the Alibaba Cloud App, you can also receive alert notifications through the app.
Host monitoring alert rules
Set alert rules for any host monitoring metric. The minimum detection frequency is once per minute.
Site monitoring alert rules
Set alert rules for site monitoring detection points. The alert statistical period matches the detection period of the detection point. For example, a 5-minute detection period produces a 5-minute alert statistical period. The system checks data at each interval, compares values against the threshold, and sends a notification when exceeded.
Alibaba Cloud service alert rules
Set threshold-based alerts for performance metrics across Alibaba Cloud services, or event-based alerts for instance and service status changes.
Custom monitoring alert rules
After you report monitoring data through the custom monitoring API, set alert rules for that data. When data reaches the threshold, Cloud Monitor triggers the specified notification method.
Custom event alert rules
After you report anomalous activity through the custom event API, set alert rules for them. When an event meets the alert conditions, Cloud Monitor triggers the specified notification method.
