Notification objects
Notification objects define the recipients and delivery methods for alert notifications. You can configure contacts to receive alerts by phone, text message, or email; send notifications to various chatbots; or route alerts to a custom webhook. This helps you efficiently manage on-call schedules.
Access notification objects

Log in to the Cloud Monitor console.

In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alert Center or All Features > Alert Center.

On the Alert Center page, choose Notification Management > Notification Objects.
Alerts via phone, text message, and email
Contacts

On the Contacts tab, click Create Contact.

In the Create Contact dialog box, configure the following parameters and click OK.

Name: Enter a custom name for the contact. Duplicate names are allowed.

Identifier: Enter an identifier that must be unique among all contacts.

Language: Select the language for alert notifications: Chinese or English.

Phone: Enter the phone number to receive alerts.
-
Email: Enter the email address to receive alerts.

Verify the phone number and email address by clicking the activation links sent to them.

After you add a contact, you can manage it on the Contacts tab:

Search for a contact: On the Contacts tab, enter a keyword for the contact's name in the search box on the right, and click the
icon. -
To edit a contact: In the Actions column for the desired contact, click Edit. In the dialog box, modify the contact information and click OK.

To delete a single contact: In the Actions column for the desired contact, click Delete. In the dialog box, click OK.

To delete multiple contacts: Select the target contacts, click Delete below the list, and then click OK in the dialog box.

Contact groups

On the Contacts tab, click Contact Group List.

Click Create Contact Group.

In the Create Contact Group dialog box, configure the following parameters and click OK.

Name: Enter a custom name for the contact group.

Identifier: Enter an identifier that must be unique among all contact groups.

Contacts: Select existing contacts to add to the group.

After you add a contact group, you can manage it in the Contact Group List:

To search for a contact group: In the search box on the right, enter a keyword from the group's name and click the
icon. -
To edit or delete a contact group: In the Actions column for the desired contact group, click Edit or Delete.

Before you delete a contact or contact group, ensure it is not referenced by any notification policy. Otherwise, alert delivery may fail.

You can only delete contacts and contact groups that you created.
Receive alerts via chatbots

On the Notification Objects page, select the Chatbots tab and click Create Chatbot.

In the Create Chatbot dialog box, configure the following parameters and click OK.

Name: Enter a custom name for the chatbot. Duplicate names are allowed.

Identifier: Enter an identifier that must be unique among all chatbots.

Type: Select the chatbot platform. Supported platforms include DingTalk, Lark, Slack, WeCom, and Microsoft Teams.

Callback URL: Enter the callback URL for the selected chatbot.

Language: Select the language for alert notifications: Chinese or English.

After you add a chatbot, you can manage it on the Chatbots tab:

Search: Search for chatbots based on the Type and keywords for the Name.

To edit a chatbot: In the Actions column for the desired chatbot, click Edit. In the Edit Chatbot dialog box, modify the information and click Confirm.

To delete a chatbot: In the Actions column for the target chatbot, click Delete. To delete multiple chatbots, select the target chatbots, click Delete below the list, and then click OK.

Receive alerts with a custom webhook

On the Notification Objects page, select the Custom Webhook tab and click Create Webhook.

In the Create Webhook dialog box, configure the following parameters and click Confirm.

Name: Enter a custom name for the webhook. Duplicate names are allowed.

Identifier: Enter an identifier that must be unique among all custom webhooks.

Callback URL: Enter the callback URL for your custom webhook.

Headers: Set the parameters to include in the request header. Enter them in the
<key><value>format. You can set a maximum of five parameters. -
Method: Select the HTTP request method: GET or POST.

Data Format: Select the data format: FORM or JSON.

Language: Select the language for alert notifications: Chinese or English.

After you add a custom webhook, you can manage it on the Custom Webhook tab:

Search: Searches for custom webhooks by a keyword in the Name.

Edit: Select the target custom webhook and click Edit in the Actions column. In the Edit Webhook dialog box, modify the information and click OK.

To delete a webhook: In the Actions column for the target webhook, click Delete. To delete multiple webhooks, select the desired webhooks, click Batch Delete below the list, and then click Confirm.
