How to create a private service instance-Compute Nest(Compute Nest)-阿里云帮助中心

A service instance is an entity you create from a Compute Nest service. This topic describes how to create a private service instance.

Background information

To create an instance from a Compute Nest deployment link, see Create a Service Instance from the Compute Nest Console.
To create an instance from an Alibaba Cloud Marketplace product link (found by searching the homepage or provided by a service provider), see Create a Service Instance from Alibaba Cloud Marketplace.

This topic describes the general deployment process for a service instance. For detailed deployment steps and parameters, refer to the deployment documentation for your specific service.

Create an instance from the Compute Nest console

Log on to the Compute Nest console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Service Catalog. Find the desired service and click Create.

You can also click the service name to go to the service details page and view the deployment documentation and architecture diagram.
Configure the service instance.

Configuration parameters vary by service. If you have questions, contact the service provider. In the Resource Configuration section, select an instance type (for example, compute-optimized ecs.c6.large, 2 vCPU / 4 GiB), set an instance password (must be 8 to 30 characters and contain an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, and a number), select an availability zone (for example, Zone G), and then click Next: Confirm Order.
Click Next: Confirm Order. On the confirmation page, verify the configuration and cost of the service instance. The page displays a configuration summary (including region, billing method, and instance type) and a price preview. Ensure that all information is correct.
Click Create Now.
After the instance is created, you can click View Service to check its status. You can find the deployment status of the service instance on the Service Instances page under the My Service Instances > Private Services tab.
- Deploying: The service instance is being created.
- Deployed: The service instance was created successfully.
- Deployment Failed: The service instance could not be created. You can click the service instance name to view the failure reason.

Create an instance from Alibaba Cloud Marketplace

Go to the product details page.
- Find the product in Alibaba Cloud Marketplace:
  1. Go to the Alibaba Cloud Marketplace homepage.
  2. Search for the product name and click Search.
  3. Find the product and click it.
- Alternatively, open the Alibaba Cloud Marketplace product link provided by your service provider.
On the product details page, select the purchase options and click Purchase Now.

For services published through Compute Nest, the product details page displays a Compute Nest identifier.

This identifier is located in the Delivery Method field and is displayed as Compute Nest Private Deployment.
On the Confirm Order page, verify the product details, configure the cloud resources, and then complete the payment.
In the cloud resource configuration, you must configure the Network settings, including the VPC IPv4 CIDR Block. Valid options include 10.0.0.0/8, 172.16.0.0/12, and 192.168.0.0/16.
Note
- The configuration parameters for cloud resources vary by service. If you have questions, contact the service provider.
- The payment you make at this stage is for the software only. It does not include the cost of the underlying cloud resources.
After completing the payment, Compute Nest automatically creates the service instance. To view the deployment details, follow these steps:
1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Marketplace console.
2. On the Purchased Services page, find the product you just purchased. In the Actions column, click Go to Compute Nest to deploy or view deployment details.
