An O&M item is a pending task that requires your action. This topic describes how to handle O&M items.
Background

Compute Nest automatically creates an O&M item for a service instance when its provider announces maintenance for a service upgrade or a vulnerability fix.

Pending O&M items are highlighted on the Service Instance page.

The severity level of an O&M item can be Critical, High, Medium, or Low.

O&M items include two types: upgrade notifications and vulnerability fixes.
Procedure
Log on to the Compute Nest console.

In the navigation pane on the left, click Service Instance.

View O&M items.
You can view O&M items in one of the following ways:

View O&M items from the notification on the Service Instance page.
NoteThe Service Instance page displays only O&M items in the Pending state.

Hover over the notification message and select the O&M item that you want to handle.

Click Handle Now to go to the O&M Items tab for the service instance.
Find the target O&M item in the list.

View O&M items from the service instance details page.

Find the service instance that you want to manage and click its ID to go to the service instance details page.

Click the O&M Items tab.
This tab displays statistics for Unfinished O&M Items, In Progress, and Pending items. It also lists all O&M items with details such as O&M Item ID/Name, Category, Severity Level, Status, Source, Creation Time, Update Time, and Actions.

Select the target O&M item and click View Details in the Actions column to open its details page.

On the Solution tab, handle the O&M item based on the information provided.

If the solution type is Manual Management, click Actions in the Actions column and follow the provided instructions to resolve the item.

If the solution type is an OOS template, click Actions in the Actions column, enter the parameters as specified in the Description, and then click OK to run the template.
On the null-null-null tab, you can view the execution status of the O&M item. If an execution fails, click View Details in the Actions column to view the failure reason.
The top of the O&M item details page displays basic information, such as the O&M item name, status, category, and severity level. Below this, there are three tabs: Resources, Solution, and Execution History. In the execution records, the Actions column also includes a Delete option.

After you resolve the item, change its status from Pending to Resolved.
