This topic describes how to use My Application.

In the My Applications section, you can manage your applications and set their domain names. You can add applications in two ways:

  • Install an application from an application template.

  • Upload a local .tar file to build and install an application.

Instructions

  1. Upload an application. Click Upload Application. The system checks if a domain name was previously configured to push images to ECS for API calls. If a DNS record for this domain name exists and is resolved, the Upload Application dialog box appears. You do not need to configure the domain name again.

    • After you confirm the upload, the application build begins.

    • If the build is successful, the application is installed. After the installation is complete, the application appears in the application list.

    • If the build fails, you can retry the operation or upload the application from your local command line.

    Note

    1. Image names must be unique.

    2. For local files, only the .tar format is supported.

  2. Attach a domain name. An application can be attached to multiple domain names, but a domain name can only be attached to a single application. Authorization granted to Alibaba Cloud for a domain name is valid for one year. You do not need to grant authorization again during this period.

    • Attaching a domain name automatically starts the one-click resolution process. This process requires authorization from the Alibaba Cloud account that owns the domain name. The domain name must not have any other DNS records. If other records exist, you must overwrite or delete them to continue with the one-click resolution.

  3. Detach a domain name. After a domain name is detached, you can no longer use it to access the application.

  4. Delete an application. When you delete an application, any attached domain names are automatically detached.
