CPFS AI Edition Data Insights shows how storage capacity is distributed across a file system and how usage changes over time. Use these insights to guide data governance decisions and optimize storage costs.
Overview
Data Insights regularly scans file metadata in a CPFS AI Edition file system to analyze capacity distribution and usage trends. Use the results to clean up data that hasn't been accessed for a long time and identify directories with unusual capacity growth.
Data Insights is currently in invitational preview. To request access, submit a ticket.
Use cases
Data Insights currently supports capacity analysis for the following use cases:
Capacity query: View storage capacity and file count trends for the Standard and Infrequent Access storage classes across an entire file system or within a specific directory.
Capacity management: Use the TOP dashboard to identify directories whose capacity has increased or decreased the most. It also shows directories that haven't been accessed for a long time and files that consume the most storage. Use this information to plan capacity and clean up data.
