Enable a tag

Procedure

1. Log on to the Cell Phone Number Service console.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Tag Square.

3. Search for the tag capability that you want to enable, click Apply, and complete the application as prompted.

   Important

   There are two application types for a Cell Phone Number Service tag capability, also known as a product capability. Some are approved automatically for immediate use. Others require you to submit application materials for manual review.

   No materials required

   Enter an application title and a reason for the application, then select the three confirmation checkboxes.

   Application requirements vary by use case. Before you apply, review the Application material description to prepare the required materials.

   Enter an application title and a reason for the application, upload the application materials, and select the two confirmation checkboxes.

4. Click Submit. After you submit the application, you are redirected to the My Applications page, where you can check the status of your application. If your application is not approved, view the reason on the My Applications page, make the necessary changes, and resubmit.

   Important

   You can apply for a maximum of 5 tags per minute and 50 tags per day.

5. After your application is approved, in the Actions column, click Use Now to use the capability immediately. Alternatively, you can copy the authorization ID and use the capability in one of the following ways:

   • Quick Access: Log on to the Cell Phone Number Service console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Quick Access. Enter parameters such as industry, scenario, tag, and authorization ID to query a single number.

   • Batch query: In the left-side navigation pane of the console, choose Offline Task > Batch Query to query multiple numbers at once. For more information, see batch query.

   • API call: Query numbers by calling different APIs. Before making an API call, review the API documentation for operation details and parameter descriptions.

6. You can reapply for an enabled tag capability to obtain a different authorization ID. The split bill feature provides billing statistics organized by authorization ID, allowing you to track spending for each ID.
