Cross-zone HA file gateway service states

What states can a cross-zone HA file gateway exist in?

• Healthy

  All nodes of the file gateway are running as expected.

• Degraded

  A data service fault has left some shares out of sync across the nodes. Data synchronization runs automatically in the background. After data synchronization is complete for all shares, the gateway returns to the Healthy state. In this state, all shares can still be mounted and accessed, but the performance limit of shares that are still synchronizing is lower than in the Healthy state. If the gateway remains in the Degraded state for an extended period, contact Alibaba Cloud after-sales support.

• Single-node

  This state indicates that only one gateway node is active because the other node has failed or is unreachable. The single active node serves all shares. In this state, all shares can still be mounted and accessed, but their performance limit is lower than in the Healthy state. The gateway console also becomes read-only, preventing you from modifying gateway configurations. After the failed node recovers, the gateway transitions through the following states in sequence: Single-node > Degraded > Healthy. If the gateway remains in the Single-node state for an extended period, contact Alibaba Cloud after-sales support.

• Abnormal

  The HA file gateway is experiencing an internal error and may not function as expected. If your gateway is in this state, contact Alibaba Cloud after-sales support.
